A Call to

21 Days of Prayer & fasting

Monday, January 5 - Sunday, January 25

Dear Leeward Community Church Family,

With three years remaining in our Decade of Harvest, we feel it is important to be intentional about how we walk through this season together. That is why we have committed, as a church, to set aside 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting twice each year—every January and every September—through the remainder of this harvest time. These seasons are meant to help us pause, refocus, and seek God first as we move forward together.

As we step into a new year and a new season, we want to create space for God to meet us, guide us, and renew us from the inside out. The theme for this year’s 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting is “Renewed by His Presence.” Our prayer is that each person would experience God’s nearness in a personal and meaningful way—bringing renewal to our hearts, clarity to our steps, and strength for the days ahead.

Our theme passage, Isaiah 58, calls us to a fast that is intentional and transformative—a disciplined response of obedience from the heart. Through regular rhythms of prayer and fasting, we position ourselves to hear God more clearly, surrender more fully, and allow Him to reshape our desires. This kind of fast requires us to step away from distractions and intentionally make room for the presence of Christ. His presence becomes the place of change.   And as the church consistently seeks the Lord through prayer and fasting, we do not remain where we are—we rise, we are renewed, and we shine with His light as we journey together.

Our Focus
For 21 days, we're choosing to saturate every corner of our church life with:
1.  High Worship of the Exalted Christ - Minister to His Presence
2.  Deep Repentance - Weeping over sin and seeking God's forgiveness
3.  Extending Forgiveness - Finding freedom from strongholds
4.  Kingdom Empowerment - Being equipped for ministry

Key Prayer Areas
The Father has laid specific burdens on our hearts:
•  Deliverance from bondages and sins that bind our people
• Church plant in Nanakuli (Elder Walter and Joni Kaneshiro need workers to join them)
• Wave of salvations and discipleship growth among our ohana
• New HOME Groups to be birthed in the coming months

This is an open invitation to our entire church family. Whether you have participated before or this is new for you, we invite you to join us as we seek the Lord together, trusting that He will meet us with grace, peace, and fresh renewal.
